I visited Little Joey's when I was little, almost 20 years ago with my late grandmother. It was her favorite restaurant in town. I was traveling through today and made sure to stop in for lunch. They make their own pasta fresh and the meat sauce was great as well. Fried mushrooms were good and the batter actually stays on instead of crumbling off like others' often does. Definitely worth the side trip. :)
Authentic and good. The crust had a great consistency and taste. Their sauce was tomatoey and there was enough of it.
I have given them high marks before but I don't know what happened. Ordered the veal parm and the linguini pescatore to go. First off the to go containers were metal and plastic. If you sit hot metal on plastic then the lower dish top melts. The seafood in the pescatore was rubbery and old. We had ro toss it in the trash with fear of getting sick. And look at the salad..4 pieces of lettuce one cucumber and 1 slice of tomato. Did the quality drop because you have more patrons? Something is different. If you look at my other review my experience was way better. I think I will have to look elsewhere for carryout. Both dishes were subpar.

Homey healthy caring welcoming staff and charming waiter. We Just felt at home right away. shared a small vegetable pizza with eggplant. Then Had salmon that was terrific with garlic & oil Angel hair pasta. Couldn’t resist topping meal off with zeppoles covered in powered sugar. I rarely get dessert but can’t resist xepolle. Meal accompanied by two glasses of red wine. Restaurant was recommended by a local . We were visiting from out of town.
I came back to Ocala after 10 years and this restaurant still amazing as always. Alfredo tortellini is my favorite. You know it's going to be authentic Italian when they speak Italian. I recommend this place.
